Patrice Bergeron is out for at least the next two games, and Tomas Nosek will be bumped up to the first line, Boston Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy said pregame Wednesday.
Boston takes on the Wild Wednesday, with Jeremy Swayman getting the start.
“A previous injury has re-emerged and there’s a risk for infection,” Cassidy said. “We’re being cautious.”
Nosek will be moved to the top line with Brad Marchand and Jake DeBrusk, taking over Bergeron’s spot. Jack Studnicka won’t arrive in time Cassidy added, so Anton Blidh will play on the fourth line.
