Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown took over Friday night as the Boston Celtics beat the Sacramento Kings, 126-97. The C’s move to 43-28 on the season.
Brown had 16 points in the first quarter before Tatum had 17 in the second, as Boston cakewalked through Sacramento. Brown would finish with 30 and Tatum would end his night with a team-high 32.
Daniel Theis added a sturdy 11 points, and Payton Pritchard and Marcus Smart both dished out eight assists. Malik Fitts and Sam Hauser both knocked down threes in the late-game minutes they received, while Nik Stauskas also saw the court for a pair of minutes.
The Celtics will take on the Nuggets Sunday night, at 8:00 p.m. ET, before Boston ends the road trip with the second game of a back-to-back as they take on the Thunder Monday night.
