The New England Patriots have brought back tackle Trent Brown, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Mike Reiss of ESPN also reports that Brown will receive a two-year deal.
The Patriots also recently tried for offensive tackle La’el Collins but missed out on him.
Brown, who turns 29 next month, returns to the Patriots as he’ll continue his second stint with the team. It’s a crucial move for the team, as New England recently just lost Ted Karras and Shaq Mason to free agency.
The 6-foot-8, 380-pound tackle did have some early-season calf issues, and the line struggled. When he returned, Mac Jones’ line became much more stable.
