Fullback Jakob Johnson, earned a deal with the Raiders last week, along with Brandon Bolden. The New England Patriots did not tender the fullback and let Johnson walk after they did not tender him. But why exactly did they not tender him?
“The Patriots have informed me that they will no longer need my services next season simply because they will no longer have my position on the roster,” Johnson said, via Reńe Bugner of DPA — a German news network.
The 27-year-old German fullback had a solid three-year stint with New England, catching 13 passes for 83 yards. He made four receptions for 43 yards this season as well.
Johnson looks to have another success in Las Vegas with the Raiders, who have Bolden, Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler.
