The New England Patriots are boosting their secondary with former first-round pick in safety Jabrill Peppers, per Adam Schefter and Mike Reiss of ESPN.

Peppers, 26, suffered a season-ending ACL injury as he played in just six games with the Giants in 2021. Peppers was a large part of the Odell Beckham Jr. trade that sent him over to the Giants after being drafted by the Browns in 2017 — following two seasons with Cleveland.

The 26-year-old has had one interception in every season except 2021, though he was able to make 29 tackles (19 solo) in 2021. New England has plenty of familiarity with the youthful safety as he played under Eliot Wolf in Cleveland and Joe Judge in New York.
