2022 Opening Day is here. The Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees will face off at 1:05 p.m. ET at Yankee Stadium Friday afternoon as Nathan Eovaldi will get the start for the Sox while Trevor Story will bat sixth in his Red Sox debut.
Story will bat sixth against righties as manager Alex Cora said before the season, and Rafael Devers will hit second. Story will hit second against lefties; Devers — a left-handed hitter — and Story won’t swap though against southpaws, as Devers will just move down in the lineup instead of going to sixth.
