The Boston Red Sox take on the New York Yankees on Sunday Night Baseball as Christian Arroyo will make his first start in right field, but Trevor is out of the lineup.

“He doesn’t feel great,” manager Alex Cora said. “I think it’s one of those 24-hour (cases of the flu). He got tested. Everything’s fine. So he either travels with us tonight or by himself tomorrow.”

Cora added that it’s not COVID-related for Story at least, while Jonathan Arauz will play second base over Story in his first start of the season, and Kevin Plawecki will play instead of Christian Vazquez behind the plate. Story would have likely bat second tonight due to the Sox facing lefty Jordan Montgomery.

Boston will look to avoid a three-game sweep before a three-game trip to Detroit against the Tigers. If the Sox lose tonight, it will be the second consecutive year they’ve started with three losses and zero wins. First pitch is at 7:08 p.m. ET on ESPN. Here is Boston’s lineup for tonight’s action.
