After a disappointing loss to the Minnesota Twins in Friday’s home opener, the Boston Red Sox look to rebound Saturday afternoon with Tanner Houck on the mound. Both teams will be seeking to get back to .500 on the season, while Boston will be wearing their city connect yellow jerseys.

Houck is also looking to do some rebounding of his own as well, as he couldn’t make it out of the fourth inning and was lucky to make it out of several jams only allowing one run last week at Yankee Stadium. That was the team’s first win of the season though.

On the other side of the pitching staff though, it’s looking good for the Sox. Sonny Gray, the former Yankee that the Twins acquired this season — also a candidate for the Red Sox — has pitched to a 6.64 ERA on a 1-6 record against the Red Sox lifetime, but take it with a grain of salt as he hasn’t faced the team since a relief outing in 2018.

Rafael Devers is also seeking to continue his career-best 12-game hit streak he’s possessed since last season.
