Red Sox Lineup: Trevor Story Unexpectedly Starting vs. Twins on Easter Sunday

Boston Red Sox

Trevor Story wasn’t expected to be in the Boston Red Sox lineup Sunday afternoon after Alex Cora said the team would sit him just for general rest, but he’ll start at second base while Michael Wacha makes his home debut.

It’s not Wacha’s Fenway Park debut though — he pitched in the 2013 World Series for the Cardinals in his rookie season; starting for Game 6, the game that the Sox beat St. Louis for their eighth World Series.

Kevin Plawecki is also in the starting lineup over Christian Vazquez, and the Sox are testing out their inaugural 1:35 Sunday afternoon starts today for the first time.

The Sox will also be in yellow and blue again today before they wear the white Boston uniforms (not the regular home whites) tomorrow morning on Marathon Monday.
