The Boston Red Sox take on the Toronto Blue Jays Wednesday night as the Sox look to avoid their fifth straight loss. Alex Verdugo will bat No. 2 for the second straight night, while J.D. Martinez will bat fifth and Kiké Hernandez will bat behind him. Kevin Plawecki will be behind the plate for the second time in three straight days.

Boston blew a 5-2 lead in the ninth inning last night and fell in the 10th inning in Will Venable’s sixth game as acting manager, as the Sox went 1-5 with Venable at the helm.
